One Link, Every Option: Una Brings Offer Comparison Across Channels to Apaleo Properties

Booking decisions rarely happen in a single breath. A guest weighs a flexible rate against a cheaper non-refundable one, checks whether breakfast is included, thinks about cancellation terms — and often wants to see it all laid out before committing. Until now, that comparison had to happen inside the conversation with Una, guest and AI going back and forth until one offer emerged as "the one."
With this update, Una changes that dynamic. For properties using Apaleo, Una can now hand a guest a single booking link that contains not just one offer, but the exact room and rate options discussed — so the guest can compare, decide, and move straight into booking, all on their own terms.
What Changed
Previously, every booking link Una generated pointed to one specific offer. If a guest was torn between two rates, Una had to help them settle on a single choice before a link could even be created.
Now, a link can carry several alternatives from the same availability search. Instead of forcing a decision mid-conversation, Una can simply say, "here's a link with both options," and let the guest compare prices and key conditions on a dedicated page before choosing.
Voice conversations in the website widget keep their existing room and rate cards — nothing there disappears. The comparison link is simply an additional, more spacious way for guests to review offers side by side.
Una Reads the Room — and Responds Accordingly
The feature isn't a blunt "always show everything" switch. Una pays attention to what's actually happening in the conversation and adjusts the link accordingly:
- A clear choice. If the guest has settled on an offer, the link skips the comparison step entirely and opens that offer's booking form directly.
- Still comparing. If the guest is weighing multiple options Una has presented, the link opens a comparison page with those alternatives, letting the guest make the final call in their own time.
- A tentative preference. If the guest leans toward one option but hasn't fully ruled out the others, the link opens the preferred offer's form while keeping the remaining alternatives just one step back.
In every case, the underlying booking form and checkout flow stay exactly the same. And a comparison link is never forced — Una only generates one when it actually helps move the conversation forward.
Available Wherever the Conversation Happens
The feature works across every channel Una operates in, with delivery adapted to fit the medium:
- Text chat: Una shares the booking link directly in the conversation.
- Voice in the website widget: Una surfaces a booking-link button the guest can tap, opening the comparison page or booking form in a new tab — while room and rate cards remain visible throughout the call.
- Phone calls: the link goes out through the hotel's configured SMS and/or WhatsApp delivery, wherever that's enabled.
A Quick Example
Picture a guest choosing between a Flexible Rate and a lower-priced non-refundable rate that Una has surfaced. If they want a closer look before deciding, Una sends one link containing both options, letting them compare directly on the page. If they've already made up their mind and want the Flexible Rate, Una sends a link that opens straight into that offer's booking form — no extra clicks, no re-explaining the choice.
The experience is consistent whether the guest is typing in a chat window, talking through the website widget, or on the phone. Only the delivery mechanism changes.
What the Link Can (and Can't) Do
A few guardrails keep the experience predictable:
- The link reflects the selected alternatives for the specific stay that was searched. Guests can't change dates or guest counts on the comparison page itself — a different request means a new search and a new link.
- Special rates appear only when they're actually available and applicable to that guest's search.
- Opening the link doesn't create a reservation on its own — the guest still completes the standard booking flow to confirm.
Why This Matters for Hoteliers
For guests, this closes a real gap between "interested" and "booked." Rather than trying to hold two or three rate options in their head during a conversation, they get a clean, visual way to compare and decide — at their own pace, without losing what Una already helped them narrow down.
For properties, it means fewer abandoned conversations caused by decision friction, and a booking journey that flexes to match how each guest actually wants to choose — quickly, or after a proper look at the options.
This capability is available now for Apaleo-connected properties where booking and link delivery are configured. If you're running Una on Apaleo and want to enable it, reach out to your Polydom contact to get set up.
